From urgent care to chronic care management, we’re here to provide care to all residents and staff of Lakeview.

Curana Health Clinic is a full-service primary care clinic conveniently located on the Lakewood campus.

Residents and staff can now stay on campus for minor medical appointments. We’ll provide any of the following services on-site:

Urgent care and sick care visits

Annual wellness visits

Minor procedures such as ear washing, breathing treatment and more

Diagnostics including EKG

Immunizations and labwork

No need to switch insurance plans.
We accept all major medical insurance carriers.

Stephanie Garcia, DO, CMD:

Is a Board Certified Family Physician and Geriatrician through The American Board of Family Medicine with Added Qualification in Geriatric Medicine. Stephanie completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. She then attended medical school at The Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree in 2009. Dr. Garcia then completed a 3-year Family Medicine Residency at Research Medical Center, followed by a yearlong fellowship in Geriatrics at The University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Garcia’s main clinical practice has been Geriatrics; joining Kansas City Medicine Partners in 2014 where she practices in the geriatric clinic, post-acute, home, assisted living, hospice, and long-term care settings. She became a Certified Medical Director in 2018 with the American Medical Directors Association, Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. She was excited to join the Curana Health team as Medical Director and has been a Hospice Medical Director for 7 years.

Stephanie is a Kansas City native and has 2 young children, Lucas, and Grace, with her husband Dan. They have a large extended family in the KC area that they love to spend time with. She enjoys running and has completed 16 full marathons in the last 7 years with hopes to run a marathon in all 50 states.

Heather Anderson, MD:

Dr. Heather Anderson has been Board Certified in Neurology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2004. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine where she also completed her Residency Program and Neurophysiology Fellowship.

Dr. Anderson was actively involved in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research as well as AD education through the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Center for 11 years, serving as principal investigator for cases involving the influence of various lifestyle factors on brain aging and AD.

She joined Curana Health as a Geriatric Neurologist with a focus on neurologic diseases in older adults, particularly in the area of dementia and memory loss. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
