Dr. Gary Lehman, MD, CMD

My name is Dr. Gary Lehman, I am a physician with Curana Health. I began working in healthcare in 1997 in the US Navy. I have extensive experience across a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private offices. Over the years, I’ve worked in emergency rooms, skilled nursing facilities, family practice, geriatric care, and hospice care. This diverse background has allowed me to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on supporting older adults through the challenges of aging.

I earned my Bachelor of Science and MD from the University of Miami, graduating in 1972 and 1979, respectively. After completing my Family Medicine training in 1982, I served in the U.S. Navy’s rapid deployment force in 1985 and specialized in geriatric, hospice, and palliative care starting in 1997. I have experience as the Chief of Geriatrics at Orlando Health’s internal medicine residency program and serve as an assistant professor of geriatrics at Florida State University’s College of Medicine.

It has been an honor and privilege to care for our greatest generation, a choice inspired by the exemplary lives of my grandparents. Their legacy of resilience and strength has encouraged me to serve seniors with dedication and compassion. I want to express my gratitude to my family for their unwavering love and support as I continue my work with our seniors.

Gabrielle Benjamin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Hello, I’m Gaby, a family nurse practitioner certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. My nursing journey began at the age of 16, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, home health, and schools. I am honored to be a part of the incredible team at Curana.

As your nurse practitioner, my utmost priority is to create a warm and welcoming environment for you. I am deeply committed to providing compassionate care and excellent service to every resident I have the privilege of serving. Together, we will work towards your well-being and optimal health.

On a personal note, my husband and I are blessed with twin daughters, and we are proud parents to a loyal dog we rescued five years ago. When I’m not caring for residents, you’ll find me exploring new destinations while traveling, treasuring quality time with my family, and actively contributing to my church community. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your healthcare journey.

Marianela Martínez Blanco, APRN, FNP-C

My name is Marianela Martínez Blanco, I am a nurse practitioner with Curana Health. I have worked in healthcare since 1996. For 19 years, I worked as a general Doctor of Medicine and Otolaryngologist in Venezuela. For the past 3 years, I have been dedicated exclusively to caring for seniors.

I started my medical journey by earning a degree as a Surgeon Physician from the University of Zulia in 1996. I then obtained a Doctor in Medical Sciences degree in 2002, followed by a specialization in Otolaryngology in 2004. In 2018, I became an RN at Emiraza College. In 2023, I completed a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Miami Regional University. I am also a member of the AANP and the Venezuelan Society of Otolaryngology.

My motivation for working with seniors comes from my parents, who, despite their physical vulnerability, are the strongest and wisest people I know. Though I can’t be with them because I live abroad, their teachings are my greatest treasure, enriched by what I learn from my senior patients. They represent history, strength, and resilience. Caring for seniors is my way of expressing gratitude for my parents and all the elders in my life.

I like to be at home, spending quality time with my children. I enjoy studying topics related to my profession and I am passionate about personal growth, spirituality, and understanding the human experience.
